Daily Progress Post 2/26

Today I got about two pictures and 3-4 Index Cards, I feel that I did a very well job, considered how distracted I was. I plan to get a few more and start on the layout for the book.

Index Card 7

This article tells how, overall, exhaust systems work, how different kinds of vehicle's exhaust systems work. It also provides terminology to terms such as, manifold/header, tailpipe, lake pipes, etc.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exhaust_system

Index Card 6

This is an article, obviously, about exhaust fumes given off by diesel engines. It also gives links to other wiki articles about the chemicals in diesel exhaust.

Index Card 5

This wiki article explains how early, mid and late transmissions work. It explains types, such as, manual, non-synchronous, automatic, tiptronic, continuously variable, etc. Also, how the different types work.

Daily Progress Post 2/20

Today I got a few pictures and one Index card done, as I planned.
Next time I plan on getting a few more pictures and 1-2 Index Cards

Index Card 4

This multilinked-website is about Rudolph Diesel, obviousl the inventor of diesel everything, it compares diesel engines to gasoline/octane engines, fuel injection w/ diesel fuel, diesel fuel in general, and improvements being made to diesel engines and biofuels.

Index Card 3

This is a webstie about an entire history of 'automobiles', the word automobile can be broken down into 'self-movable' which means that the website is mainly about where 'self-moving machines' started from and not nessicarily about a car with a internal combustion engine, which, if you didn't know, was completely different than a steam engine.

Daily Progress Post 2/18

Today I wanted to get at least 2 index cards and some notes done.
I achieved my goal for today, and I plan to make a few more next time.

Index Card 2

This article basically describes everything about the automobile. It includes subjects such as history, production, fuel, safety, economics, futures, and alternatives to cars.

Index Card 1

A truck, or rig, is a commercial used vehicle used mainy for transporting goods across a country/continent. In the US, commercial licenses are required for any vehicle weighing 26,001 or more pounds. Most trucks in America use Cummins Diesel or Detroit Diesel engines.

Daily Progress Post 2/12

Today I planned on getting a few more links and possibly some pictures, unforunately I only found one link. This link was about trucks, so it will definitely help with the diesel part of the project. My next action is to, after getting a few more links, make the layout for the book.

Daily Progress Report 2/10

Today I plan on doing what was assigned, which was #3, Final Production Selection. This is what I did today, and it helps to know what kind of project I'm doing because without knowing how I'm doing the project, the I can't actually do the project. My next action is to get all of my information.

The Product Prospectus.

1. My research 'question' shall be, "Explain to me a brief automotive history."

2. My presentation shall be in the form of a children's book.

3. The reasoning being that I have absolutely no other ideas of how it could be done and that it bypasses the rule of no papers.

4. A finished product would be a children's book explaining autos and will most likely start with Mr. Karl Benz, and end with the car of tomorrow and the differences and advances between them. It will most likely be a good deal words per page and I use use pictures, not illustrations.

5. Because it will have a full, completely explanation of an automotive history.

6. Well first I'll get the info on the history, then I'll spread it out throughout the book and basically put it down to how it makes sense.

7. To find the info so that I could actually do the project.
